Dr. Guy was born and raised in Toronto. He attended Ryerson and University of Toronto before his acceptance to dental school at University of Western Ontario (UWO) where he received his dental degree (DDS) in 1991. While at UWO, he went through the dental officer-training program with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Upon graduating Dr. Guy was posted to CFB North Bay (22 Wing) where he served for four years. In 1996, he purchased this practice from Dr. T. E. Johns which was located near Marshall Park and Lakeshore Drive. The practice was relocated to the present location in 2015. Over the years, Dr. Guy and staff have enthusiastically implemented many changes to better patient care through improved patient management systems. We are proud of our office’s quality of care and our on going upgrades including new equipment and technology. Dr. Guy is committed to training and continuing education for all members of the dental team. He continually attends courses which include: local anesthesia, sedation, dentistry for children, implant dentistry, cosmetics, TMD treatment and periodontics, among other credits.

Carisa, a Preventative Dental Assistant joined our team in the fall of 2014. She was a graduate at Canadore College in 2005. Originally from Powassan, she returned to the area in 2015 from Edmonton where she worked in dentistry after graduation. Her friendly smile and positive attitude are a great attribute to our office. Carisa and her husband Ben keep themselves busy with their two children, Jackson and Evelyn. In their spare time they enjoy the outdoors, particularly hiking, canoeing and camping.

Shannon is our Practice Administrator and is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly. She is likely the first voice you hear when you call or the first person you see when you enter our office. Her positive personality and her previous work experience are great assets to the front desk. Originally from Long Lac ON she moved here in 2021. She has two grown children , Josh and Brianna . Shannon enjoys spending time with her friends and family,

Sylvie joined our office in the summer of 2022. She is born and raised in the area She graduated from Canadore College in 2020 and while there was given the opportunity to provide dental services in Guatemala. On her free time, she likes to walk her Mastiff, Beaumont and enjoys going to the gym. Sylvie can provide her services in French and in English.

Lisa is our sterilization assistant and strives to help the clinical team in maximizing their time with our patients and making your visit a pleasant, safe experience. She is a graduate of Cambrian College’s dental assistant program in 1992. Early in her career Lisa worked in dental practices in Kirkland Lake and Toronto. Her husband, Terry, and their two sons, have made North Bay their home since 2005. They enjoy time outdoors on the various lakes and exploring the beauty of the local natural landscapes.

​Leah is our Continuing Care Coordinator/Bookkeeper. She runs our office’s preventive recall system, booking new patients and calling patients to schedule appointments or to remind them of preventive dental visits. Leah, her husband Jeff and their daughter Julianna are originally from Newfoundland and Labrador and moved to North Bay in January 2002. Leah enjoys running, biking and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.

​Michelle is our Treatment Coordinator, joined Dr. Guy’s team late in 2012. She is graduate of Canadore College’s Dental Assisting Program in 1998. As treatment coordinator she will organize your needed treatment, explain the procedures and fees and assist you when dealing with your dental benefits. Away from the office Michelle enjoys the outdoors with her husband Shane and two sons Zachery and A.J. fishing and 4-wheeling.

​Nicole is a Preventive Dental Assistant and she has been employed by Dr. Guy since 1996. She graduated from Dental Assisting in 1993 in Ottawa and completed the Preventive Dental Assistant course in London in 1996. Nicole, a people-oriented person, enjoys talking with our patients. Nicole and her husband Pete are kept very busy with their granddaughter Margo. They recently moved to North Bay from Sturgeon falls. A close family they spend much of their leisure time together.

Sheryl, one of our Dental Hygienists was born in North Bay and raised in the area. She attended Cambrian College in Sudbury where she graduated from Dental Hygiene in 1991. After graduation Sheryl started her career working in Southwestern Ontario, then British Columbia and after many years moved back to the area . Sheryl and her two children, Paige and Parker are delighted to be back home in the North Bay area. Sheryl enjoys outdoor activities with the kids such as camping and swimming.

Sheila is a Level II Certified Dental Assistant who joined Guy Dentistry in the summer of 2022. Sheila was born and raised in Sturgeon Falls, Graduating from Cambrian College and working as a dental assistant in general practice since 1990, Sheila comes to us with a wealth of dental experience and great ideas. When not spending time with her large, close-knit family, Sheila enjoys reading, playing guitar and in the winter skiing. Her soft, warm nature will allow you to relax and feel comfortable during your dental visit.

Abby, a Dental Hygienist, joined Guy Dentistry in September 2021 . She is a native of North Bay, born and raised in the area. She is a recent graduate of Canadore College from Dental Hygiene program and was the recipient of several awards, including the Dr. Max Back Award for highest academic achievement and the Elina Katsman Premier’s Award for clinical excellence.
